Voicemail is a greeting for your mobile phone.
All mobile phones subscribers are automatically given access to a mobile voicemail service. It is sometimes referred to as a mobile Answer Phone.
Your voicemail service records messages for you when you want or when you are not available to take a call on your mobile phone.
Your Voicemail service also allows you to personalise your voicemail by recording a personal greeting.
This greeting is the one played before a caller leaves you a message.
How do Voicemail Greetings work?
Voicemail Greetings offers you the facility to personalise your voicemail in a unique way. Instead of using the normal standard greeting, you can now choose from 100's of original and exciting Fun recordings including celebrity greetings and answering services.
You can transfer any of these automatically for use as your own voicemail Greeting.
To transfer your chosen Voicemail Greeting you will need to know your mobile number and your
Voicemail pincode.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the premium rate number is £1.00 per minute. The average duration using the order line is about 3 minutes (maximum call time is 4 minutes).
What is my voicemail pincode?
Your voicemail pincode is only required when you want to retrieve your messages from another phone besides you own mobile.
It prevents unauthorised access to your voicemail messages.
It is a good idea to change your pincode from the pincode set for all users by your mobile operator.
What if I never used a voicemail pincode
If you have only ever retrieved your voicemail messages using your mobile, you probably never needed it. This is because the mobile network can recognise your mobile phone and automatically give you access to your own messages. Your mobile acts like a key.
But if you want to access your message from a fixed phone the network will request a valid pincode for your own voicemail service.
For more information on voicemail pincodes contact your mobile operator:

Is a voicemail pincode the same as my handset PIN?
No, not normally. If set to 'on', your handset pincode is required when you switch on your phone. This prevents others from making calls on your phone.
Your voicemail pincode prevents others listening you your messages.
You can set or change your voicemail pincode at any time, so you can change it to match your handset pincode.
What if I don't know my voicemail pincode?
You can call your voicemail service at any time to choose another pincode. Each operator in the UK has a slightly different method of accessing and changing voicemail pincodes.
Note: If you do not enter the correct pincode for your own voicemail Service your Voicemail Greeting will not be transferred.
